The Peddler Gap and the Hwy 172 Volunteer Fire  
Departments Provide aid in the form of:
  •       Personnel,   
  •       Fire Fighting Equipment,      
  •       Vehicles,    
  •       Water,  for fires in a  mutual agreement with other fire  departments in
         Morgan County   and Surrounding Counties.

Provide vehicles and personnel for traffic control, rescue, and assist to local and     
State Police and Law enforcement.

Conduct fire and rescue training for members of our fire department;

40 - hours of training each year conducted by the Ky State Fire Training

Specialized training in;  
  •         Drivers Education,
  •         Hazmat Training,
  •         First Aid & CPR Training
  •         special fire and rescue training.

020 - Hours of training for New applicants  to respond to a fire.
150 - Hours for a firefighter to be Certified.

WE PROVIDE FIRE FIGHTERS WITH:
  • Fire Fighting Vehicles
  • Fire, Rescue, Hazmat, First Aid, CPR and Drivers Training
  • Fire Protection Gear,  Helmet, helmet Liner, Gloves, Coat, Paints,
 Suspenders, Boots.
  • Air Packs
  • Portable hand held Radio,  Radio Batteries and Charger.
  • Mobile Radios are installed in each of our fire vehicles.


FIRE DEPARTMENT MEETINGS;

  •        Meetings are held the First Monday of Each Month
  •        Meeting begin at 06:30 P.M.
  •        Location of meetings are at the Hwy 172 Fire House at Crockett
  •        Everyone welcome.
  •        New members and visitors are welcome.
